Changes have Happened ! King Aero Aviation was a Sole Proprietorship formed in 1972. King Aero Aviation, Inc. was formed in 1991 offering
General Aviation Services and restorations. We partnered with DEBY Aero Logistics for the past 6 years, but due to David and Denise's retirement Elkhart is
being separated from the group. It will continue to be operated by Marty King under King Aero, Inc. also known as King Aero Aviation Specialties. We will still
offer full General aviation maintenance services in Elkhart, but we also do projects, fabric recovering and restorations. We do engine work, even overhauls.
Our current shop rates as of 1/1/2024 are as follows: Piston engine and airframe $109.00 Hr. . High Performance Singles and Twin Engine engine and
airframe $129.00 Hr. We also have block time and Special rate for Projects, Restorations and Fabric work including fabric repairs.
Doing an Annual Inspection is a yearly part of
owning an aircraft. We perform annuals on a
wide verity of aircraft and support owner
involvement. Check out our annual page for

We offer many different services beyond
annuals and 100 hour service. Sheet metal, gas
welding, engine repair, fabric repair and
replacement, woodworking including spar
repairs, STC installations, modifications and
upgrades.
Our Fabric work is second to none. Taught by the
developer of Polyfiber Ray Stits we know most
all the tricks and can repair and or replace
fabric on just about anything. From the smallest
parts to complete aircraft we offer the best in
Fabric!

Awards for National Flight Instructor, Aviation Technician, and FAASTeam Rep of the year to be presented by the FAA at AirVenture
Every year for more than 50 years, the General Aviation Awards program and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) have recognized aviation professionals for their contributions to general aviation in the fields of flight instruction, aviation maintenance/avionics, and safety.
These awards highlight the vital leadership roles these individuals play in promoting safety, education, and professionalism throughout the aviation industry.
Recipients of the 2024 National General Aviation Awards are:
Adam Magee—2024 Certificated Flight Instructor of the Year
Marty King—2024 Aviation Technician of the Year
Cary Grant—2024 FAA Safety Team Representative of the Year
The FAA will present individual awards to each National Honoree in July during EAA AirVenture 2024 in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, and their names will be added to the large perpetual plaque located in the lobby of the EAA AirVenture Museum. In addition to being recognized at AirVenture and highlighted in the aviation media, National Honorees also receive gifts generously provided by sponsors and contributors.
“It is an honor to announce the names of the 2024 General Aviation Awards National Honorees” says GA Awards Board Chair Sandya Narayanswami, “These important, historic awards highlight the critical role played by accomplished individuals in building a culture solidly based on aviation safety and education,” she added, “The Board and our many sponsors are pleased that these outstanding aviation professionals will receive public recognition before their peers at AirVenture."
